I think a lot of it depends on if they want to try and go with the spread again. The way they canned their OC when he couldn't do it might scare leach off. Personally I think he just threw his name out there as a bargaining chip for his new contract with TT.

nah, tt is a dead end job imo. he knows when grahm harrell and crabrtree leave they'll go back to basic irrelevance.
he did all he can do with tech this season and he knows it. either he leaves now or he's the next greg "should have left while i could now im completely irrelevant and unmarketable" schiano.
aubrun is a step up from tech.
auburn needs a "flashy" guy like him to keep up with the saban in recruiting.

Why wouldn't AU just get Hal Mumme? I would think they could get him alot cheaper. They would basically get the same offense.

Maybe, but Leach has clearly improved that program at Tech every single year. Mumme gimmicked (and cheated) his way through a few years at UK. I am not 100% sold on him, but Leach seems to be a solid program builder.

Leach is not a great enough coach to coach in the SEC-W, or SEC for that matter. The guy has 1 lights out season, and that is mostly because of Harrel and Crabtree. Tech has alot of great players, I am not entirely convinced it is the coaching. I think it is ridiculous to think he would go to Auburn.

Like I said, I am not completely sold on the guy either, but his record is pretty good for taking over a bad Tech program.
