there’s some twitter smoke among Gator fans about moving to the ACC since the other Florida schools are there and the university wants to focus on basketball more than football so the ACC makes more sense as a basketball scholl

If your fanbase wants to become a slightly better version of GA Tech, be our guest.

And if the smoke about Florida considering a move to the ACC
man I completely missed this article. Is this something seriously being talked about somewhere other than message boards?

4 yrs ago who thought usc and Oregon would be big 10?

They left because the PAC 12 had no TV revenue and thus no additional money coming into the universities. SEC has the best TV contract and school payout. LOL, Miami and FSU are dying to get out of the ACC because the TV money sucks.

we’re worse than GT in the sec so if going to the ACC would make us slightly better I’d take it

You don't leave the SEC. Look how that worked for Tulane and Georgia Tech.
we’re in worse shape than them in the sec so that’s not really that big of a risk

Why would anyone leave a
fancy gated neighbor to move to a trailer park?

Those teams moved to improve their future. You don’t leave the SEC to improve your future.

if your future is doomed to be a bottom feeder in the sec being mid tier in the ACC is improving the future

Plus:

1. Emphasis on basketball with Duke and unc

2. Other Florida based rivalries in fsu and Miami

Due to conference realignment we only
Play UGA of our traditional rivals every year now. We can keep that rivalry in the ACC but we play Mizzou and a bunch of other gay former big 12 teams every year now

No more lsu no Tennessee, nothing
