While it is nowhere rumored in the least bit, he has say at his throne at Alabama way too long. His name always pops up whenever there is a vacancy, but he never leaves. Obviously his accomplishments at Alabama don't need to be listed.
He coached at LSU under Nick Saban in '03 as the DB coach. Hypothetically, would we want Kirby to make a lateral move to LSU as a DC with a HCIW gig considering that Miles will be gone within the next 5 years either from performance or retirement? Does the lack of HC experience ruin Kirby's chances whenever a spot does open up?

He ain't interested and I seriously doubt anyone else is. We'll just take what we can get at this point, if that's even possible.

At this point, I say we take a gamble on a younger, up and coming guy not named Brick.
