Nix is a LB coach? I didn't realize that. If he is, then hes my choice. I like what hes done with Ole Piss.

Yea, the fact LSU has no dedicated QB coach is amazing...considering its the most important position on offense.

See ya Big Don, hello Kragthorpe the QB coach...

Miles can coach TEs.

Especially when your OC has a reputation for not being able to develop QB's.

Nah, he just claims the rep of developing guys like Dixon despite them being worlds better when he left...

what about Brian Van Gorder?

Yeah I'm sure he'll leave the DC position of the Atlanta Falcons to come to LSU.

I don't think Ellis Johnson would come to LSU unless they get rid of Cooper. I don't think they get along well...

And I thought Ellis coached CBs?

They aren't getting rid of him anytime soon. He doesn't have the personnel to do much. His future is secure with the Falcons though.

if he knew he was out or was scared of that, why wouldn't he be back in UGA?

Hell, he has NFL experience in it. Why not? Or they could expand it out to Gonzales...WR/TE coach.

Does Miles even have a special position he coaches? Don't say o-line please...

We seriously need to boot one of our assistants. We need a free slot for QB coach. Don is the only one...Robinson, his ST aren't amazing but they aren't bad and hes developed the kickers good through his career...so, again, sorry Big Don...

TE just shouldn't be that huge of a priority over QB coach...

my choices would be (in no order)

reggie herring-aggressive, can coach LB's, our corners can play man to many

Mark Snyder-miles wanted him before we got pelini

Tyrone nix-doubt he leaves ole miss if he didnt bolt for florida

ellis johnson-doubt he leaves

george edwards (LB's-dolphins) we went after him once as well

jon tenuta-still like him

joe tressey(south florida) does good, aggressive, had great defenses at cincinnati before kelly fired him

Damn, you know your DCs but I'd cross Tenuta off that list...

Has too many questions and LSU doesn't need someone like that right now.

If this happens, I think the overall stability of the program would appear to be getting a little loose.

Not good news if it happens.

Heck, we need to be talking about Crowton leaving...or some changes at the minimum, yet we are talking about the DC leaving?

I can't think of anything positive about this news at all

You answered your own question with this:

Miles needs to stick to what he knows best. When to call timeout.

The one positive could be that LSU would end up with a better DC. Other than that you are right.
