...all the games fall our way this weekend and we wind up in the MNC (as described by some of the far-fetched BCS possibilities I've heard on here).

1. Will Miles still offer his resignation after the SECCG to give us time to find a new coach?

2. If he does, should the LSU admin allow him to coach in the MNC or pick an interim coach instead?

If Michigan offers yes

I'd go with an interim HC. As soon as he decides he's leaving us, he's no longer a Tiger.

I have considered this myself. I think Les is gone and suppose to announce sunday or monday no matter what. I beleive we will just have to let Crowton couch the game while we are searching for a new coach.

So is Crowton supposed to assume the roles of the HC, DC, and OC???

i am stuck on 1 unlikely, almost uncertain scenrio

if lsu loses tomorrow, miles goes to michigan and for some stupid reason LSU ends up playing michigan in cap 1 (never gonna happen) or outback bowl (never gonna happen part 2)

it is the ONLY thing that could make losing tomorrow acceptable

i can't imagine a coach turning down a chance to say "i won a national championship" even if he's already taken another job. i think he'd say, yall are gonna have to wait about a month...

and i can't see michigan having too big a problem/being completly un-understanding in this scenario.

i think that would be the ONLY fitting way to end one veeeeerrrrryyyyyyy stupid year of college football, with a very stupid coaching matchup (a coach coaching against himself)

I agree. I just can't imagine Les taking the Michigan job before the NCG. If we miraculously slip in to that, he'll be here next year and beyond.
