But then again he's for affirmative action so he's probably not even worried about people being able to read as long as a proper number of blacks were passed thru first and second grade.
Rooney Rule isn't affirmative action but you're not the sharpest tool in the shed

The last time I looked at big-time college football the majority of players are Black and the head coaching ranks are pretty much lily white. That's cause for concern right there. Blacks can be the labor but not the leadership?
And here we have it. Blacks are more racist than whites IMO. Shaft and Rocket should go ahead and join the Black Panthers.

Paging mike tomlin, lovie smith, herm edwards, tony dungy, kevin sumlin, charlie strong, eddie robinson, doug williams.
Several more but I'm not googling it tonight.
Bottom line good coachs are good and bad coachs are bad, but i think all coachs should be given 3 years to bring in their own players and get their systems in place.

Coaches from Grambling don't help your argument

eddie robinson,
All time winningest coach in college football. I know its lower division but you still gotta be good to win 408 games.
Just using some regionally affiliated coachs that some people will know.

Eddie Robinson...talk about a coach who did a lot with very little in terms of resources and support.

Sly Croom. He had more experience and held the same positions as Mike Shula
You don't think Charlie Strong would have liked to coach at Tennessee? You think Kiffin was more qualified than him?
You think Gene Chizik was more qualified than Turner Gill to coach at Auburn?
The list goes on. You are in denial because you really are against the advancement of black coaches in football. If you weren't, you wouldn't be opposed to the Rooney Rule.
Were any of the guys that you mentioned interviewed for the job? I don't keep up with coach interviews, so I'm really not sure.

I don't recall off the top of my head.
And if they weren't, they should have been. Croom has stated that at one point, he would only consider going back to the college ranks is if it was Alabama. He got passed over because he was black. Mike Shula was not more qualified for that job than Sly Croom.

Has anybody mentioned that Embree had never even been a coordinator before getting the HC job?

Tyrone Willingham got another chance after ND because he showed some competency at some point.
Ty has one of the rare "legitimate" race cards to play - he was the ONLY ND coach in modern history to not get 5 years. And, perhaps coincidentally (perhaps not), he was the only AA head coach in school history. What is compounded is that the fat fraud that they fired him to hire got 5 years, mainly on the successful foundation built by Willingham.
Now, I don't agree with him about the "systemic" part of the charges he made after he left Notre Dame, but, at least in isolation, his claim he was treated differently appears legitimate on its face.
