We saw what Jimbo is this year without his extreme talent. What would Jimbo have gotten out of Andrew Hatch, Lee, and Jefferson. Look no further to FSU 2017 to find your answer.

So you are saying a coach isn't as good without extreme talent? That is some riveting shite man. Appreciate it.

You’re a fuching idiot. A&M pulled a boss move and just bought at least 1 national title.

Jimbo was the best coach that was looking for another job. A&M did what they had to to get him...congrats to them and their administration for not being complete imbeciles in a coaching search (Looking at you Alleva).

Time will tell if it is great hire or not but on the surface it looks really good for them and they have every right to be excited.

I don't know why there are always these pissing matches about stuff none of the people on this board can control.

Congrats Aggies...I hope it works out for you except when playing the Tigers!

He would’ve been an absolutely amazing hire at 6 million over 5 years. Not sure what’s hard to understand about that. Y’all overpaid for someone who’s trending downward, get over it. Every single A&M poster was screaming about “The Decline” as Les Miles went from 13-1 to 10-3 to 8-5 to probably 4-6, and now y’all have a coach in decline for an obscene amount of money but you’re totally in denial that anything could go wrong.

I'm sure people thought Ohio State overpaid for Meyer. I bet there were people that thought Alabama overpaid for Saban.

You're going to overpay when you get the top coach on the market because he's the one that gets the latest contract. In a couple of years it's not going to seem like overpaying, when the guys next year get contracts closer to what Jimbo just got.

Well if your basis for success is best value for the money then maybe that's an argument. If your basis for success is being able to hire the best possible coach available then Jimbo is a grand slam. Also when you consider that $7.5 mill is only about 4% of A&M's AD revenue then trying to save $1.5 mill and maybe NOT get the best possible coach is insane.

The OP is a joke. I don't see anybody denying that.

You, as an Arkansas fan, don't really have much to be laughing about though buddy.

will you please stop posting if they don’t? What’s with our weird arse fans who cope with their meltdowns by getting directly on their knees and blowing whatever school they think got something good and crucifying whoever doesn’t agree? Y’all did it with Chavis and called everyone a fricking idiot who disagreed that he was going to be good at A&M and look how that turned out. Y’all did it with Bielema when he left Wisky for Arky. Y’all did it with Sumlin after he had a good season with Manziel. You’re screaming until you’re blue in the face at every LSU that doesn’t immediately concede at least 3 national championships to Jimbo Fisher and everyone else is having a meltdown right?

You can't bring that kind of logic here man. The rantards don't understand it. They just want to kick, scream, and fire everybody. Think of kind of like Tennessee, except nobody actually really listens to them.

Name the coaches currently in the NCAA that have more than 1 Natty. Hell name the ones that have 1

You think O is going to get one?

best possible coach available

What exactly is your rationale for this? Jimbo wasn’t technically “available” nor are any other good coaches. If y’all are just going to drop an obscene amount of money to pull someone from another school since y’all can, why not bump it up to $12MM per year for 10 years and go get Dabo or Meyer? Or why not overpay for a Fuente type up and comer who y’all can get cheaper then absolutely drop bank on his assistants and staff? I just find the contract odd and it completely fricks y’all over if Jimbo continues being the 9-3, 7-5 type coach that he’s been since Jameis left. I mean what am I missing? Jimbo isn’t perfect and again, won 1 NC in his career and it was early on with Jameis. He’s not Saban or Meyer and it’s odd that people are pretending that he is

Don't think either of those guys leaves what they have to go to A&M, even for $12m/year.
