He is definitely my top choice...this guy is all about dominating defense

Too bad he has no desire to deal with kids. He coaches grown up football. Let guys like Saban and Spurrier teach the kiddies.

What a comment!
I guess thats why he showed so much interest in the job before Miles was named coach?????

where do these del rio rumors come from? why would he have any interest in leaving an NFL coaching job that he's been fairly successful at to come to LSU?
Posted on 11/29/07 at 2:48 pm to tygerfan70118
if lsu offers him the job he accepts it. period.

Maybe it has something to with the fact that Bobby Hebert (DelRio's roommate when with the Saints and friend) said that DelRio definitely has an interest on his show last night.
Certainly not a "proof positive" source, but better than Joe Blow.

Did Del Rio get talked to before Miles, last time? I thought I heard his name mentioned before the Miles hire?
Posted on 11/29/07 at 3:04 pm to TreyE663
He had an interview scheduled, I believe, but his agent fumbled that and he didn't get to interview.
Thats basically why Miles was hired according to a lot of people.

We would have the nastiest team in America. Look at the Jags, they are big, mean, and hit hard. LSU used to be like that but we have fallen off in recent weeks.

Aren't Del Rio's ties to USC stronger that LSU? He had his chance and did not take it. I have moved on from him.
This has been talked about before...He was interested but there was some miscommunication/screw-up in that Skip did not seek permission from the Jacksonville Jags owner before hand. Therefore, I don't think they ever actually spoke.
