Is this hire an attempt to de-emphasize football at LSU

Our Scoreboard is nuts on game days, but lots of people leave at halftime to beat the traffic.
It's hard to say where we are as a fan base, but the PC fad is to de-emphasize football so that we can focus on what really matters.
