lol, yeah I saw that on the ESPN scroll last night during the Oregon game... I didn't catch part of it, though.
Did I read it correctly that Erickson was calling the plays this year and will relinquish that role to the new OC?

This matches up with what many of the "insiders" are reporting about Crowton, but I talked to someone who has a close personal relationship with Crowton, and it does indeed appear that Crowton will be the OC in 2010, according to the guy I spoke with.

For the last week, many "insiders" have reported that Crowton will likely be returning in 2010 as OC from what they are hearing.
Although the last two days, it now appears that might not be entirely accurate. LSU may be trying to keep everyone (including recruits) thinking that Crowton is returning, and then make a change after the bowl game and possibly after signing day.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kragthorpe was brought in as a QBcoach/assistant HC with Crowton retaining his duties as OC... with the idea that Kragthorpe would take over for Crowton when he leaves or is fired in the future.

According to BP, Crowton is still gone after the bowl game.
