Nope. $3 million buyout for any school other than Alabama through 2022

It does not. According to the terms in his contract, the buyout owed to Clemson this year would be $3M if he leaves for another HC job, $4.5M if he leaves to be the HC at Alabama & $0 if he leaves to coach the NFL. It also contains a provision that if Clemson reaches the semi-final game, it triggers a good faith market review that keeps his compensation in the top three of active head coaches. If they fail to do so, his contract is liquidated.

I think it is just 3M total. I believe that he would not owe any additional money for the remaining years of the contract.
