belowpar...don't mean to question, I'm new here so how do you know nothing is going on between LM and UofM?....

BullMichael-

belowpar is Solid...
99.9% of what I read on this board (or any other..), I take with a grain of salt.

However, when belowpar post, I put stock in it...He's not BS'ing...he knows what he's talking about and we appreciate his sharing!

Michigan has never come to Miles or any of his representatives saying hey, you are our leading candidate what can we do to get you...

Simply put, there is no evidence that Michigan ever truly wanted Miles to be honest...

I mean I know about almost every conversation that was had and how the whole thing went down...

I don't see Miles as a candidate for Michigan...I really don't think thats an option...

Coach Miles is happy where he is and he has a great deal to stay...

good to know....still not sure about going with RR as the makeup of the michigan offense is not up to par with the spread....I would like LM but not sure i'm all torn up because i want an honest coach but don't know if we could handle him if he lied....though i guess he (if he takes it) is trying to keep his team positive ...thoughts?

BullMichael-
I think you've pretty much arrived at the same spot I'm at...
and I'm afraid it looks a lot better for the LSU fans than the UM crowd.
The way I've squared the LES deal in my mind is LSU can't lose and UM can't win.

If LES takes the UM job now (after the definitive statements he's made), he's damaged goods and both he and Michigan look VERY BAD in the process.

If he stays at LSU, we keep our coach and he proves he's a man of his word.

Just seeing as the whole situation has gone...

I don't see BM or MSC as ever really wanting Miles...All the smoke for Miles was from a lot of former players/alum what wanted him...

I do "think" (Don't know) that coach was being fed some backdoor info from some of these guys, but I don't think the info that they were sending him was correct. I think they were feeding him a lot of BS to try and make him want UM.

Belowpar is our one and only proven actual source on this that has yet to be wrong.

Believe him.

IF RR goes to MI, I seriously doubt he does a wholesale immediate switch to the spread, but you are right in a sense...it is the makeup of the O that will dictate what happens. It will take a recruiting class or 2 with a focus on fast, mobile skill players to get there. Give it a year or 2 and it will happen. Then, the Big 10 will have to adapt to keep up with MI! It would be a good move for Michigan!

I have had several friends from MI over the years and most of them have been pretty humble guys in regards to their team...especially when taken in light of OSU fans! I truly hope to see them get back into the serious mix and put OSU in their place. I wouldn't mind seeing LSU start including UM in some home-home scheduling.

While this would be AWESOME to see...
I can't see it ever happening considering the parity and strength of teams throughout the SEC.

You cannot ask a college football team either physically or mentally to be at the top of their game week in and week out for a 12 or 13 game season.

LSU needs the LA Tech's and Middle Tenn. State's of the world to help SURVIVE the SEC, the last thing they need is another BIG game.

I agree Moots, I agree! Especially so with the OSU's of the world padding an already easy schedule with glorified HS teams just so they have a better chance at going unbeaten.
