I'm sure that when Alleva was hired, they asked him who he thought would be a good fit at LSU if he had to replace Miles.....just to gauge his mindset of what style of coach he thinks works for us.

Won't be popular, but Tubbs is a decent coach. He's too old to hire at this point, though. I said Bobby P a few months ago and was practically run off the board. He's still 10 years younger than Miles and Saban, and I'd take him in a heartbeat if we could keep Chief and Frank Wilson (for recruiting).

I think both Tubberville and Petrino would absolutely crush it at LSU, and I am quite convinced that either guy would take the job if offered. That said, I think there would be a lot of names ahead of them due to Tubbs' age and Petrino's off field issues. I would be ecstatic about either of them.

If I had to put money on a Miles replacement, I would go with Graham or Hudspeth, because I don't think the timing is right for some of the bigger names.
