If I'm Jimmy Sexton , and my client has a playoff berth with bonus money for the both of us at stake, you don't get an announcement until after the money counting is done.
If I'm Ole Miss and I learn he's leaving, I lock him out of everything and save the money for the next coach.
If I'm LSU, I'm having my best boosters host recruits and transfers for playoff watch parties to watch their new coach on a big stage.

Depends on if it’s a coordinator or HC. Kirby finished the postseason with Bama as DC and won a natty before coming to UGA.
