Smart. So would I. So would any coaches camp worth their salt. If more days go by without him taking the Florida gig, that will be a clear indicator that he's still in the mix. Probably a third a 3rd or maybe 2nd option.
He's a really a good coach and would kill at LSU. We're lucky to have him as a backup option.

I think Florida made a deal with Napier before they fired Mullen....unlike what we did, all divide and bitch and moan about a dozen coaches so when we hire one half the faithful will already hate him...If Fla hired before they fired like some are saying they will all jump on the Napier train....Our process has always sucked at hiring coaches....prove me wrong! Don't count how we got lucky with Nick but sure enough we lost him..
