Because this is about to happen at the bowl game. Longer O is head coach the harder he will be to demote back to Dline coach and recruiting coordinator.

I was literally coming to post this same question. For fricks sake, this is the time that coaches are usually getting fired and searches really getting underway. Why in the HELL does Orgeron have to be hired Sunday if Herman says no???
Just step back, reorganize, and get after the guys on the next tier down. fricking ABSURD if this is not the approach.
