If I’m Miami’s new AD I’d give Lane a call

Coached at FAU so he’s familiar with the area. I have a feeling Lane wouldn’t mind being in south Florida instead of Oxford. No state income tax. Florida and FSU are both down, lot of potential for recruiting. His offense would dominate in the ACC.

Lol he’s not on my list for LSU, but Miami doesn’t have the same options LSU does.

Ole Miss is a much better job. They are actually committed to winning football games. Miami's admin have completely ignored the football program and have no interest in bringing them back to the glory days, it is academically focused institution only now.

And I think being a millionaire in Oxford with those coeds and COL is pretty fricking sweet for Lane

I don't care what kind of tax benefits you've got in Florida, Miami is expensive and North Mississippi is cheap.

Is Miami a promotion over Ole Miss?

Ole Miss will never win a natty, and that’s not even talking about the SEC. At least at Miami you have a chance to win your conference and make the playoffs potentially.

Also see the other things I said…no state income tax, get to live in south Florida, etc

Neither will Miami so I don’t see your point

You vastly underestimate how dog shite that administration is and the facilities Miami is working with.

You can find better options than that if you’re looking for a beach job.

Certainly much more expensive to live in Coral Gables than in Mississippi, but Oxford isn't cheap as far as smaller towns go.

Miami can't even come close to paying him what Ole Miss can, and will, pay him.

Miami just got a new practice facility a couple of years back. They're certainly behind the times with regard to all of the bells and whistles of the top facilities but wouldn't call their facilities substandard anymore.

Their biggest problem is the substandard coaches that they've hired. I think a young up-and-coming coach could put together a couple of classes and make some noise.

Miami's location is still elite and will always be elite, the south Florida region will always be teeming with talent.

Right now they're in the same spot that they were in before Schnellenberger showed up. Someone like him just had to put in the work and boom.

Kiffin still has his house in Boca on the water. About 55 miles from Coral Gables.

Miami’s mystic is long gone, kind of like Nebraska and Tennessee. They cannot become Thug U again without the NCAA looking over their shoulder... It is simply not a top landing spot anymore...
