I wouldn't want to coach at Texas either.

That place is a cluster. The boosters there have zero patience and you basically have to rebuild. Why would Herman go just to get fired in two years?

It's not even that they have no patience (they definitely don't), it's that there are 59 different voices jockeying for power at any given time, and it's impossible to run things the way you need to run them.

I was hoping Strong would get more time, it was a cluster when he arrived but he has put some good recruiting classes together and I think he will do pretty well if they let him. He did start a Fr QB this season who looked pretty good at times and his RB is a beast. He gets the defense shored up and he could make some noise in the 12.
The off the field stuff, yes its a disaster.

I think the Aranda, Herman relationship is a lot more substantial than people think. I would think that they would want to start a dynasty together.

I still think Strong is a good coach that wasnt allowed to succeed there

Strong has had some in-game gaffes that would make Les Miles blush. I was telling my UT friends that he needed more time there as well especially since he essentially cleaned house from the start, but it's become pretty apparent to even me that they need to move on from him now.
