Seems more like Woody made BK an offer weeks ago and got turned down. Then came back at BK last weekend with a sweeter deal after not securing another top guy. Does seem like BK was the original #1 choice from the start, regardless.

Outside of the Kelly/Riley drama... I've spoken with a few people connected to Napier's inner circle this week and I can confirm some things we already know or have heard before:
LSU never at any point contacted or showed any interest in Billy Napier for the job. He has told that to several people.
Jimbo Fisher was absolutely Woodward's #1 target at first (immediately following O's firing) and he tried to negotiate for weeks with him but in the end couldn't get it worked out.
