Jimbo is elite. He is arguably the 3rd best coach in the country.

If you cannot understand that the plight of Louisiana's budget won't impact what we can offer a new coach,
Thats why we fired Miles after the 4th game and are seeking out a coach who will be more expensive, has a buyout, and Miles has a buyout.

So, which one of you billionaires is going to cough up the do-re-me?

Let's hope you're right, but at least now you might understand why we don't end up with the perceived top 2.

Easy newb. I know you struggle with how the world works, but LSU can't just print money. Jimbo is most proven option we have, and Herman might have more potential, but LSU doesn't have unlimited resources. We don't have the money that schools like Michigan, Ohio State, USC, and Texas do. Don't see why this is so controversial.

LSU is one of the most profitable programs in the country. We definitely have the money to compete with any program

Our athletic program is especially profitable. But I respectfully disagree that we can compete with the schools I listed above, especially given the states incredible budget shortfall. We shall see.

I thought the coaching money and buyout money came straight from the boosters pockets?

and that and taf is who will be paying for the coach. if we get cheap, it isnt because of a lack of money. to say otherwise is being flat out wrong.

If that were truly the case, Jimbo should've been the coach this year.

politics got in the way, not a lack of money
come on man

Still a realistic hurdle, IMO. Could be the difference between Fisher and Fedora.

I just don't understand all the love being thrown out for Harbaugh...He hasn't done crap yet. He will probably get his hat handed to him this weekend.

People forget how long it took OSU to 'settle' on Tressel, or the Rich Rod ---> Brady Hoke Michigan era after Lloyd Carr.
We all know how much of a mess Alabama was post-Bryant, as well.
CEO is an underwhelming hire, but he's not the first underwhelming hire at an elite program. Hell, who even knew who Clay Helton was 16 months ago?
