I just don’t see Ed O letting him go this fast. He’ll have next year to redeem himself.

I hope I’m wrong.

No way they can justify that. LSU only trails Vanderbilt and Akron for yards per play, at 7.23 ypp. They’re 121st in overall defense of 127.

I think so too. With so many players leaving, opting out, and not to mention Covid, Pelini will get another chance next year.

He should and he will come back.

Nobody save Dave Aranda would be doing a better job

Nope he and O have already had words, and understand the only game that our defense has played well is the A&M game and that’s it. The gator game it was atrocious, gave up 7yds per carry when they were averaging 2.6yds per carry coming into the game. They gained 609yds of total offense!

He is gone and good riddance mfer!!!!

man if only other teams had covid, opt outs and players leaving to deal with. with the talent on defense there is no way in hell they should be dead last in the country defending the pass and the worst defense in school history.

If people on here had their way Aranda would have been fired before last year and during parts of last year.

He will be back

Not only did the defense look awful at times but too many players regressed, Clark, Stevens, Hampton, Logan, Farrell to name a few. Either it was scheme or teaching but it didn't happen, that is on Pelini. I wasn't impressed with his in game adjustments either.
He was a mistake, move on, too many good Coordinators would love to Coach with our talent and resources.

I think Bo should be fired as soon as the game is over Saturday but If he does keep him and I am Woodward I don’t have an issue with it as long as he knows he is putting his own job at jeopardy. If Pelini fails again both of you are gone.

Woodward is going to make O live or die with Pelini. There won't be any buyout unless O pays it, and that ain't happening.
