I like the hire, but I am not happy about it

I know it doesn’t matter what I think anyway, but I think it is a good hire of a good coach, and he will have better players to work with here, but it is a very underwhelming hire.

He is on the older side, but he can still coach at least 10 years if he does well, so that’s not a deal breaker.

He isn’t a super innovative offensive mind, but his offense with better skill players will win a lot of games.

He will avoid what has happened the last two years, be a .500 team with losses that should never happen with the talent level LSU has.

He will do all of that, but I just don’t know if he will do any better than he has at Notre Dame, and that’s the real worry, that he stays exactly how he has always been since moving up to DI.

We’ll see how it goes, and I’m definitely hoping for him to win titles, but this hire doesn’t give you that hope like a really good offensive/defensive specialist guy would.
