an Arkansas fan friend of mine trying to kill my moment tonight bet me that Miles would leave before next season. What an idiot. That steak is going to taste good.

I would not try to collect too fast... I've been listening to everything Miles has said since yesterday morning and in my opinion, the door is still not closed.

In his pre-game presser, he said "I" was not talking to UM and that "I" am representing "me" in this matter (did he mean the job, or the presser?).

He told CBS' Tracy Wolfson that he'd be coaching LSU next "year" (not next season). In case you did not notice, the Sugar and the BCSCG are "next year".

Tonight, he said that neither he, nor George Bass had "direct" contact with anyone with UM. He also evaded every question from Rece Davis that implied "finality" to his supposed "decision" yesterday.

I am not trying to stir up anything; however, until UM actually hires a coach, or Miles signs a new contract (or says unequivocally that he is not taking the job at UM), I believe it's still uncertain.

I'm a lawyer and use (and hear) this kind of very calculating phrasing all the time. He may be at LSU for the next 20 years; however, I have an inherent distrust of people. Remember, Miles came to LSU after repeatedly denying he was coming here.
