but their record/scoring/stats say they're on fire. If I ever do sit down and watch them play, what should I expect to see? T.I.A.

A unicorn of a mid-major that can actually hold its own vs Power 5 lines and quick, explosive athletes

A very well coached, disciplined team. Defense flies around and makes tackles. Offense has schemed and a well thought out plan.

ULL with better talent.

Fickle and Napier will both be successful at big places soon. Cincy is biggish. But, you know what I mean.

Timing, execution? Execution has always been a problem in BR (post-Saban, minus 2019).

Great analogy here, ULL with better talent. Nail on the head, sir. Bingo.

Cincinnati is fun to watch.

Their defense flies around old school style (refreshing in an age of missed tackes/arm tackles).

They have very good corners, Coby Bryant is one of the top corners in the country.

How would Fickell do at LSU with the current group of LSU Assistants? How much do you credit his Cincy assistants for their success?

Would Fickell jettison all the LSU assistants and hand pick his own? Does he even have the authority to do that?

He’d very likely interview some and retain a few: Raymond, Joseph for example.

He’d have authority to hire the staff he wants.

He’d be great at LSU

If you question is “is he a better HC than O”? YES

If you are asking if he’d do well with only having these assistants- the answer is he’d never have had Peetz or Jones. So, not a real question. The others? Sure. He’d do fine with them.

I don't think he would take the job if he didn't get to pick his assistants.

I don't know anything about the Cincinnati offensive coaches, but they do score a bunch.

Dropped 56 on UCF this week, 38 on Indiana, 24 on Notre Dame.

Mike Tressel (Nephew of Jim Tressel) is Cincinnati DC.
(Tressel left Michigan State to replace Marcus Freeman as DC).

I would imagine Fickell would bring him along for sure.
