I haven't heard this name thrown around yet ( Petrino, Peterson, Whittingham, Shaw, Kiffen, the guy who coached me in pee wee, the guy who coaches my kid in HS etc)

The early firing is going to make the LSU fanbase insane. God help us if Herman makes the playoff or Texas' season goes south. As a Michigan fan, waiting out Harbaugh's pro season and having everyone who is not a Michigan fan say Harbaugh would never go back to college and that he was using the school as leverage for pro jobs was painful.

Its' Houston for Gosh sakes...
We're LSU the last time I checked....one of the top jobs in the country in the best conference in all of college football.
It doesn't really get any better than LSU football on Saturday night
That's not being a homer, that is reality...
Tiger Stadium is often ranked #1 venue for college football
Most players in the NFL
And Houston will be able to keep Herman over LSU offering 6 million?
Let's see how it plays out, but don't come in here and poop on LSU fans wishes when none of us know what is going to happen the future

Well, I meant others will post that over and over. I think Herman is ours for the taking provided Texas doesn't tank (and based on their last change I'm not sure we don't get him even if that happens). I wasn't posting what I think I'll happen b/c I'd be repeating crap others have said already.

Houston has been, is and will always be a stepping stone job. Herman should be in play, but not until they lose to Louisville mid Nov. That's when things will begin to heat up.
