Steve Spurrier as the head coach with Jeff Bower as DC. His defense's at USM were always tough. Great recruiting ties.

Why wouldn't Spurrier simply bring his current DC, Nix, along? He was a protege of Bower.

bower d was great he made great hires but bower was the offensive guru
