bo will stay and coach the MNC.

As much as i like Bo, it would be a mistake if he coachs the team...its just not right

Realistically, if Miles and LSU approached Muschamp, would he consider leaving Auburn? Auburn is going to be packing a punch next year.
Being that we normally put up the $$$$, I would think he would consider it.

Bo is still our DC. He's earned the right to coach the Tigers in the MNC just as much as Flynn has earned the right to play.
I can't see him turning down a championship to leave early. If we make it in, they won't announce him leaving until after the MNC.

I hope not. Not that I don't like him, but I don't want Nebraska's coach calling LSU's defense.
I'm indifferent on it at this point. Bo's defense looked good for a change as of late. The past two games, they've been exposed.
This is the lowest point total a conference foe has put up on us since South Carolina (I know State was a shutout, I did not forget).
The defense won this game for us today. The ball control helped. Points matter, but even when we didn't score, or we only got three, they stopped UT and got the ball back for us quickly minus a few drives in the 2nd half (which resulted in a FG, a missed FG, and a TD).

He gave up that right when he decided to take the job of another team.

how about this? if we make the MNC, I'll guarantee you that he stays on to coach our team.
btw, i'd much rather him call our defensive plays in the most important game of the year, than some assistant with no experience doing so. plus, he's got us this far and deserves the championship just like everyone else. he's still LSU until he's wearing red and white.

when you show me a credible source that says he's taken the job, i'll believe it. I think today has proven that nothing's done until it is done.

Right? How about LSU's right to have it's own employee coaching for us? How about Nebraska's right to have their employee working for them and not his old employer?

He wont just like Magino didnt when we played OU in 2003.

I agree. I have my opinion about Bo, and it isn't much of one. I'm not a fan of his philosophy and have questioned his preparations here lately in more recent games.
He has earned the right to coach in the championship game.
Also, I don't think he's going to just roll over in a championship game and not do all he can to prepare the guys to win it. If he did, Nebraska fans would probably be a bit skeptical of their new coach.
If he gets lazy over the next month, he may want to take a direct flight out of New Orleans as soon as the game is over.

i don't understand why people have been down on him lately. half of our defensive players are hurt and we have still been in positions to win every game. Our defense stepped up against Tennessee in a game where the heart of your defense, Dorsey, was out for the majority of the game. Steltz looked like he was scared to tackle somebody (probably because he's banged up) and our guys looked tired and dead out there. And they still got the two INTs and the 6 points that gave us the win.
Bo Pelini with a month to get guys healthy and destroy some overrated Big Ten team? That's gonna be a heck of a game to watch.
And, I'd much rather it with on of the most experienced DC's in the country calling the shots as opposed to some nobody that's calling them by default.

I think Mark Richt did before he took the UGA job, this was while he was at Fla. St. and it was the NC game.

1. If he doesn't take the job until after the bowl game, I have no problem with him coaching in it.
2. No way in hell Nebraska says, "yeah sure, we'll commit to hiring you, but you don't actually have to begin work for us until mid-January"
Nebraska has a recruiting trail, and they're not going to want it to go cold.

1. Agreed, and I think that is how it will play out.
2. Tom Osbourne has named himself interim head coach so that he can recruit. he has also informed the staff that if they won't to have a chance to remain on they should continue recruiting. Only 2 coaches have turned down that offer so far. Osbourne is hooking Pelini up and I have a feeling that they'll wait because of this situation.
I still want no one other than Bo calling our defense. He knows our players, schemes, and is more familiar with calling our plays than any other option we'd have as a DC. I'd hate to see that change before a MNC.
