Who out there is a REAL candidate that we can hire that would assure us a better coach than Miles? There aren't too many.
Tuberville----6 Mil buyout, not likely
Spurrier------Buyout, old, and had a poor season.
Cowher- get real
Del Rio------How do we know he isn't a Bill Callahan? Callahan got his team to the Superbowl, something Del Rio couldn't do.
Butch Davis------just signed an extension with UNC and I don't think he'd want to come.
So that leaves us with who? Gary Pinkel? A small conference coach like Kelly? Or a guy at a small school that's second fiddle to a powerhouse like Leach or Dantonio?
Who is out there, especially after all these other schools hire someone? I especially want Miles gone, but I'm afraid we could do worse.

Agree with all the other ones, but what makes you think Davis wouldn't come here. i think he would pack up and leave in a second

I said this when ND fired Willingham...don't can your current coach unless you are absolutely 100% positive you are going to get someone better.

Spurrier is the guy for next 4 to five years. The only reason he is coming here is to win a NC, and for his legacy. Will do whatever its takes and has done it before. With a good DC and recruits he knows he will get at least once chance.
SC is a hopeless cause, he was leaving last year but they offered hi the Augusta CC Membership to stay.

I am just afraid Spurrier will leave the Cupboard empty kinda like he did to Zook. And then Urban got to revel in Zook's talent. Spurrier may actually not set us up good for the long run.

I'm just praying that we won't hire Fran or Callahan because of their "coaching experience."
I would really have to hope basketball and baseball get better b/c football sure won't if we hire those two clowns.
