I think it's laughable as well, but I guess they think they have a shot.

Academic standards have been raised since Khator took over and UH has been a tier 1 research university for almost a decade now. State approval for a brand new medical school has recently been granted so enrollment will probably approach or surpass 50k in the next 5 years. There are new facilities, both academic and athletic, all over campus. 2018/19 UH is almost unrecognizable to what it was 20 years ago.

This move makes no sense other than Dana wanting to get paid. Houston has about the same chance as UCF to make the playoffs. So Dana just said f it I am going for the money. Also to make the move so soon with the chance of Uf and ND openings?

Watching outside reaction to all this has been very interesting.

Apparently a lot of people out there thought Dana was actually a damn fine coach, compared to a majority of the WVU fanbase that thought he was pretty damn average, and was much more prone to under-perform the talent on the team than over.
