Hiring to fit the 4-3

This isn’t the end of the world. LSU still is a great destination with other great options.
It only feels like the end of the world because the head football coach can’t actually coach very well.
I’ll say this: If LSU wants a quality DC, then they need to expand the search. Trust the DC with his scheme. We have enough versatile players for every scheme.
At the end of the day.. Freeman picked the better head coach to work for.. Brian Kelly will make him a better future HC than O would.

You interview multiple candidates and narrow it down. Did O do that last year? No. He openly said, all eggs in one basket for Freeman. He put all his eggs in on Kiffin in 16...he doesn’t know how to interview multiple candidates

O is an idiot and said on the radio the DP picked this guy. And it was his “top guy.”

Y’all are ridiculous. Freeman wasn’t in in the top 3 original choices. Make another run at Jim Leanord, Ryan Nielsen and the guy from Kentucky. If they say no go after the Miss state dc.

Meh. Kelly is solid, but he will never do anything remarkable at ND. His win over a beat to hell Clemson is his greatest accomplishment. That’s not to say O is a prize, but he did accomplish two things that Kelly never will- beating Bama and winning a title.

Kelly has maxed out ND. Their academic standards hold them back and Kelly has done a phenomenal job.
