re: Harbaugh has not said no to Michigan. On the contrary-

. . . make sure that RichRod's compensation does not include the amounts paid to WVU in his total compensation. Also, I'm not sure why we are picking one year to evaluate my claim. Look at their total deals. They are all structured curiously, like Hoke's. He made a ton more this year than he did in the previous seasons. Again, Michigan doesn't pay like a top job. They don't even pay like the top job in the Big 10.

If you dont think that 13th and 7th highest paid coaches in the country arent paying market value, I dont think we have much more to talk about.

If you insist on picking year to year comparisons instead of deal comparisons, we definitely don't have anything to talk about because you've missed the whole fricking point about contract values.

It is really easy to demonstrate why you don't understand this and you are wrong.
Look at just two Big 10 deals:
Brady Hoke had a contract that was 6 years and worth $19.5 million
James Franklin has a 6 year deal worth $27 million. This year Franklin made less than Hoke. Franklin's deal is more valuable.
So laugh all you want, but you obviously don't understand how these contracts work.
Right now, as we speak, there are no less than four Big 10 jobs that pay better than Michigan paid Hoke.

Franklin signed his contract 3 years later and was at a much higher demand than Hoke. He got that contract because he was going to get it from someone else.
Michigan is the only school in the country that would pay Hoke 4 million dollars in a year to coach football.
And every one of the 4 is a way better coach than Hoke
This is the market value you are talking about.

You think Ferentz is better than Hoke? Now I know not to argue with you.

Ya, I do. I do think he is paid just way way way too much money, buts that a different argument.

This is just the most ridiculous comment I have read on here.
Michigan (an AD with an ungodly amount of money) with boosters with even more money (you know who Stephen Ross is?), wouldn't pay any amount to get one of the top 3 coaches in the game.
Im mean, say that out loud and try not laugh at how stupid it is.

keep the dream.
What dream is that?

Where did you read that I said they wouldn't?
You're so adamant that they would and it's blinding your comprehensive skills.
Harbaugh ain't going to UM....so why are we arguing again when you agree?

I think you (this is you projecting) know this ain't happening
So you said that like 1 post above.

I dont think he is going to, but to say for certainly that he isnt is foolish.

So me saying you know this ain't happening means
UM will not
But if it makes you feel better, with all that UM $, it ain't happening.
Feel better?
