These two posters that have been consistent and aren't interested in spreading rumors. I'm sure there are others that have been correct or maybe have "good" information. I have searched posts from back to Dec 07, and half of them stated "it's a done deal" and other crap. We would all be better off if we listed to belowpar and shrevetigertom. For EX.I have a friend with contacts in the AD dept and they were stating that Miles was gone and that it was a done deal for Pelini to return, well that was wrong - the guy is still a great friend,but, I don't trust his info. This wasn't to flame anyone, but most of us are full of shite and all we have is pure speculation.

for EX. Shreve... no offense, but it's a done deal with Miles and Pelini... both are gone.
Fact from a buddy with the LSU Ath Dept... their deals are signed, sealed and delivered.
Miles will announce he is the new head coach at Michigan and Pelini will announce he is the new head coach at Nebraska. This is not speculation, but fact my friend.
My only question is what the hell is Nebraska thinking? end quote

that was just an ex. i'm not bashing anyone nor trying to piss anyone off. if i would pull up all the ones that stated its a done deal - 10 pages. you can do the search in the text box yourself.

I think everyone gets excited.
The truth is, these things change as details and conversation get worked. Agents/attornies/AD and boosters/politics is all wound up in these situations..then toss in the wife and kids that don't want to move..
It is my understanding that Miles had to have his mind changed to stay at LSU..then he slept on it after he change back to LSU that evening..woke up and it was still LSU
At the very least he led many people to believe inside LSU athletics he was likely leaving LSU for Michigan...an attractive offer was made..(per Belowpar)
That's when all the TAF rumors came swirling out yesterday around lunch time..
some of the pelini talk probably was legit, I mean, surely we had a back up plan ready to go

Honestly who cares? It's up to the reader to determine what/who is accurate.
