but my number 1 guy if miles leave (which is becoming more likely)..is tommy tuberville..flat out wins games, defensive mind, and recruits in a very tough area..if he had the access to recruits, money and facilities at auburn like he would LSU...we would be very good....tuberville is one of the top coaches in the country, but this is all speculation

No flaming here. I think he is an outstanding coach. Other than 04 he really hasn't had very talented teams just gritty teams and still wins big games and on the road

i realy think also....that we would take the job....him and auburn havent been on the best of terms since the whole petrino thing...and LSU is much more appealing that TAMU...just hope the buyout isnt too much

I wouldn't mine, plus if I recall he has the best winning percantage among coaches against top ten teams.

I want Jack del Rio, but if that doesn't happen Tubs is a great choice as well

exactly...sure hes a cocky a-hole, but it would be great if he were OUR cocky a-hole

There is a $6 million buyout to get Tubberville. I don't want him but that buyout alone would kill that.

I like him better than Spurrier. But I think people are going to have to come term with some of his faults.
For instance there is a view(correct of not) that he mentality toward Bowl games could be a tad better. Some of his Game planning was really under th3e microsscope in the several of the early games. THat is largely forgotten.
The good thing about a Tuberville hire would be that it would LSU fans perspective. The feelings of insecurity would be gone and perhaps they would see things in a more balanced way.
FOr the record I want someone young and fresh and new. SO I am generally opposed to a Tuberville and especially SPurrier hire

Never can figure out why dumbasses say Tubbs and his relationship with AU is not that great. Tubbs has said many times how much he likes AU and he wants to retire at AU (YEAR AFTER YEAR every year he repeats this as his name is always mentioned at the end of the year).
The AU fan base loves him and is more loyal to him than most fan bases (I would put his approval amoung AU fans at 85-90% in a down year). The fans spoke in 2003 when Tubbs had done MUCH MUCH MUCH less for AU and the public people that wanted him out lost their jobs. Tubbs has the majority support of the AU boosters because he is the best for the Auburn program. The AU boosters love Auburn and want the best for AU.
He built a new house 6k square foot house a few months ago. He has two kids playing ball in the AU school system and have been in it 9 years. He has kept his assistants together and they have children and 9 years of roots in a great college town. He get a $200k raise per year and will make $3mil in a year (likely more once he gets a raise in a few days). LSU is not a step up as far as programs go (more talent today, but AU was 13-0 an few years ago, 11-2 last year, and beats LSU every other year). Tubbs has no ties to LSU. Tubbs has a $6 mil buyout.
Now, give me the overwhelming reason he will leave?

And by the way, it would cost a team more to hire Tubbs than it did for Bama to hire Saban. $3.5 + $6mil upfront. And that is if he wanted to leave in the first place in a lateral move that makes no real sense.
