Fire the coach!!

I offer the possibility that Kiffin leaving UT is no different than Kansas firing Mangino.

It's always in the control of the owner-manager, that employees are sent home to wonder where their next meal will come from.
Although I find much to fault with Kiffin
his leaving UT is not a problem for me. Its unusual for people to change jobs so publicly, but doing so in the coaching business is like E! the magazine.

1. He coached at USC in multiple job roles.
2. UT might have fired him this time next year,
if the NCAA gave UT sanctions.
3. I like the following reasoning:
Kiffin just went 7-6.
He now realizes just how hard it is going to be in the SEC.
Kiffin did very well in recruiting, and even so, he was just starting up the mountain. My guess is that in his heart of hearts he realized that he might NEVER win an SEC championship game.
It would be possible to be a very good coach and to never beat Florida out of the SEC EAST. He could be very very good, win the SEC EAST and still lose the champ game to some better or luckier opponent.
He gets better weather, access to media, and a huge local pool of talent, that rivals LSU or Texas or Florida.
And dear friends, like it or not, as USC coach,
he will have opportunities to recruit every great player in the country.
