Expanded CFP + Early Signing Period = will be harder and harder to lure big fish

Just the way it is. There is no good time for a move like this now that early signing period is Dec 15. Add to it that the CFP is expanding to even more teams means there will be at least double the CFP candidate teams coming out of Thanksgiving week.

I think there's about a 90% chance the Early Signing period gets moved back to after the conference championships, given the events of this year. It needs to. It's a bad setup. It hurts the product.

It's already after the conference championships. Those are usually around Dec 3. Early Signing is Dec 15.
