It’s like anything in life. Lane offers more of a sure thing and has his advantages. Same for Eric Morris. Eric is cheaper in that he only makes 1.4 million a year and you get more upside. He is more of an unknown and you take a risk. Lane would be hard to fire, but Morris would be easier to fire. Two contrasting hires and both can make sense. What doesn’t make sense is paying Drinkwitz top 5 money and he is largely an unknown at a place like LSU. Drinkwitz will want a huge buyout. He makes no sense at all.
