Ensminger makes sense if they want to dump O next year

Who knows what they're on the hook for with Canada now. If Alleva's confidence in O is shaken, why let him hire another expensive OC?
It seems like for whatever reason Alleva is untouchable and may outlast O.
So if there's a handshake deal with Aranda to take over when O shits the bed this year, promote Ensminger for cheap and then let Dave clean house for 2019 and pick his guy.

It makes a lot of sense actually. Why should Aranda be stuck with an OC he doesn't necessarily want? They're giving O enough rope to hang himself without a large financial commitment.

I would agree here. If Ensminger is the pick, that tells me Alleva isnt going anywhere. If they swing big, then I think Alleva is tied to O.

Agreed. I’m now on board with Ens as OC. It is either going to work and under current model this would be the most sustainable coaching staff possible. Any OC that comes in and turns Lsu’s Offense around will be the hot name for HC. Not with Ens. Aranda making $2.5 not going anywhere.
However this is also the best case as if it doesn’t work. O, Alleva and hopefully F King gone.

Makes sense to me... Wish we could get Briles, but these buyout payments are getting ridiculous...
