Dave Aranda potential and Recruiting

Now I'm not one who is completely against CEO, but hear me out. The reason I do believe in Coach Aranda was the reason that he was able to convince guys like Tredavious, Beckwith, Neal, Lacouture, and Jefferson to stay for another year. I think that is possibly a contributer into thinking that he may not be a bad recruiter but we don't know yet. I do think that with his resume, he would have the ability to call in a top flight OC as well as keep this recruiting class together. Granted, I'm not going to complain if we can bring in a Jimbo or Herman, but the way Aranda handled Alabama the other night with consistently making adjustments shows to me that he is willing to go in and make changes and isn't afraid to tool around. But I'm willing to let CEO play it out and if he does exceptionally well during this stretch, that gives no reason as to why he shouldn't at least be in top consideration. Geaux Tigers!

He has zero head coaching experience and has not been a renowned recruiter to date. Promoting him would be a preposterous risk. For the record, I don't favote O either. We need a promising younger man with demonstrated success as a head coach.

Would you be in favor of a guy like a PJ fleck? I've been reading into him more and more and I'm really starting to like him a lot

Would rather roll the dice on a genius coordinator than a recruiting cajun. Aranda had a big part in getting the JR's to stay and play another year for us. If he can convince people like Beckwith and White to forgo guaranteed money I'm sure he can convince high schoolers to come play for him.
