What's better 4 mil for 7 yrs or 3.5 for 10 yrs.? Either way it doesn't matter cause everyone knows he wouldn't be around that long, and by them coaches will be making close to 10 mil. a yr ten yrs from now

I heard him thought it was pretty good and I don't care for Cowherd. If he wants to go to Michigan it won't be for the money. Also said LSU is harder to win at because the SEC is harder

I don't know what more lsu could offer. If miles wins sat. i think he will automatically get a raise to top three in the conference which would put him close to three mil. A coach who has not won a conference championship should not make three mil or more and that goes for any school in my opinion.

If Les Miles is offered 3.5mil, the entire ad should be fired on the spot. I can see giving him a raise for the SEC title but if he can't even pull that off, I question the wisdom of paying him more $.

I can live with a market price. Les has won lots of games. He has not secured a single championship. We should spot him the BCS, because we didn't lose to Appy State and we didn't lose to Stanford. However, a market raise to something on the order or $2.75 to $3 million/year of total compensation would be warranted, should LSU win the SEC. Not winning the SEC, I can see giving him a boost to $2.5 million for a new five year term, or so, with some incentives that puts him in the high threes should we win the BCS in the next five years. I would also insist on some more robust, general buyout clauses, like $3 or $4 million.

Saban with no hesitation. The two are leagues apart imo.

Yep leagues apart. 1 loses 6 games in 3 years, the other deoes it in 1 year.

Because Larry Coker has an NC, he's worth more $ than Miles?

We need someone hungry. With all the talent we have coaches should be soiling their pants to come to LSU

So you think. I don't see the rush, nor did we have it in December 2004. I think we end up with less than Les.

I'll take Miles anyday over Saban the ego maniac. Damn pre Madonna. Cowherd got one thing right we do have a lot of fans that are nuts, though I think morons is a more proper term.
