I have been to his clinics. Run quite a bit of his offense. Half of Alabama does.

-Auburn isn't going to be 5 wide all the time. It's in the offense, but they'll be in the gun with two runningbacks quite a bit. The backs will catch a lot of balls. Also, Borges would empty the backfield too. In the 2004 Auburn/LSU game, Auburn scored their lone TD with an empty backfield.

-Troy was third in the Sunbelt in rushing offense. You don't always spread to throw it.

-There's talk about Kodi Burns beign the next coming. I wouldn't be so sure. He's got a lot of work to do. Next August there will be two QB's at Auburn that have already run the exact same offense, Caudle and Trotter. Caudle has had 15 knee surgeries and Trotter will be a true frosh though.

-They won't huddle. At his clinics he says he hasn't huddled in years.

-He isn't dirty because of the UK stuff. he turned evidence on UK. I think he was forced to, i.e. had his words formed the way the NCAA needed to fit their case.

I think it's a good hire for Auburn, but a few there a few negatives.

-Auburn mouthpiece in B'ham keeps talking about how happy Will Muschamp will be that he doesn't have to give up only 10 points. Those days are over. AU's defense is going to be on the field a lot more plays. The offense isn't always in hurry up mode, but compared to what AU has been running the game is going to be a lot longer.

-Biggest problem I can see is Tubby himself. He has a hard time keeping his hands out of things. I think he held back Borges this year, just my opinion of course. Franklin is a hermit. He wants to do his own thing. Can Tubby stay out of his ear?

You make nothing but assumptions. Your post only deserves one reply.

Hey Hater, maybe you should actually read the post before assuming it is negative.

I think the Franklin hire opens up some unique opportunities for us offensively next year and overall, I think it's a good hire. If Coach Franklin can utilize Tate, Lester and Fanin out of the back field to make up for our woeful receivers, we might score a few points.

A perspective from outside the iron feud is that Tubbs is just trying to change with the times and spread his offense more than previously. Personally I think this is a good move on his part. I do agree with the analysis that started the post that it will not be wholesale change but it will be more balanced than previously.

My problem with the post is this
quote:

there"s talk about Kodi Burns

There was talk about Saban to LSU- lies

quote:

he turned evidence against UK

He had to roll over or he would be punished.
I agree with that one. I see it as a big change for Auburn but a positive one. We did well to end up as good as we did even though more was expected. Mainly i just saw your Bama avatar and went postal. Nothing personal.

I think he will be great. I took my Pee Wees to watch them play at home and they were scoring all over the place. I think Auburn has needed to get away from the Bo Jackson days for a long time. It will be great to see someone throw a pass more than twenty yards.

I think the original post was a very good analysis. I don't think you'll see the complete spread that Franklin normally runs, but it's definitely going to be a different game in Auburn next year. The biggest question mark is certainly at QB, that would've been the question under Borges, too.

You are absolutely right. If you want to know why, go over to www.al.com and look at what we have for a forum. Beyond worthless.

Why are Bama fans so jealous of Auburn fans? Is it simply b/c Auburn is starting to not consider Bama a rivalry?

Please, we've saved Tubby's job for 6 years now, minus 2004.

Colonial Bank is stilled more worried about Bama and always will be.

Don't hating...

I read the post and started thinking "Oh crap"

There will come a day (Have no idea when) Bama will own AU for a while. Treat bama the way you want to be treated when that happens.

Believe me, the Auburn fans aren't saying/doing anything different than what Bama fans have done through the years - be it the Bear era, the early 90s, whenever.

The only reason that people tend to think that Auburn is piling on is because it has happened after the explosion of messageboards like this one, so there are more forums and avenues for the discussion.
