Lets say IF Aranda leaves and IF we look to hire another offensive coordinator, wouldn't the 2 next hires look for guaranteed monies of at least 3 years? If we're looking to get out of the O regime, wouldn't all of this only make it more expensive?

if Dave leaves, the next 2 hires need to be replacements for Alleva and O.

but pretty much anyone who gets the OC/ DC jobs is gonna want at least 3 years guaranteed, that's kinda the way it's done at this level. at least anyone worth a damn.

Alleva trying to give a non-guaranteed extension to Chavis is what made him leave, and then Alleva either low-balling or not wanting to give a guaranteed deal to Aranda in 2015 is why he wasn't here a year earlier.

i mean, if we're changing/losing coordinators... the financially prudent thing to do is blow it ALL up now again. Cut bait with O.

Time to hire Mike Leach and throw big money at a DC. We don't need both a DC and high paid OC in that scenario.
