it's likely to be '11 before that position really gets good again

Do you think our coaches believe that they missed on some recruits?

If Josh Williford stands on the sideline for 5 yrs. then we know Stud can't evaluate talent.

But the guy hadn't seen a snap on a non-special teams play

not at all true but lets make more excuses

per LSUSports.net

quote:

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2008)
Played in six games with no starts ... Saw action on special teams for the Tigers ... Also listed as a backup at either guard position and center ... Gave the Tigers another body at the fullback position in short-yardage situations ... Knee injury against South Carolina came on punt coverage ... Did return one kickoff for 13 yards against Auburn.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2007)
Redshirted as a true freshman in 2007.

I'm not trying to bash, but when the entire year goes by and your offensive lineup for all but 1 game(tulane) remains constant, you are coasting, not coaching. Look at the Penn stater that said they adjusted the OL until they found a unit that fit.. Hurst and blackwell got piss poor opportunities to make an impact. They would get a couple of plays in one or two series a game. Not enough to see if they could really make a difference. Coach Stud needs to go. People keep swaying the line will get better. If he stays, I just don't see it happening. Putting the best personel on the field is the key to winning. Not keeping guys in the game who can't hack it and get blown off the ball.(tbob&hitt) you had big young guys that should have gotten more reps, but once again, coaching lacked.
