The same reason Schiano won't. He's not interested, he's said he's not interested, it would be totally unproductive and repetitive, and unnecessarily disrespectful to Michigan. There's zero to be gained from another statement, so why make one?

What do you mean a definitive statement...He said that he is the coach at LSU and WILL BE the coach at LSU next year.

Here is how Les settles this...he calls up some of his old buds at UM and tells them to have the Univ hold a press conference and say we are no longer pursuing Les as a head coach...oh shite then ESPN might run a story about him being AD. Nevermind. Meeeeechhhiiggannn...hire a freaking coach now...your missing out on prime recruiting time.

He admits he's talked to them as recently as Friday.
If he really wants it to die, he should SHUT UP>
And as for him being unhappy, WHO FREAKING CARES?
He can go to UM, Atlanta, or stay as far as I'm concerned. I just don't care about the coach. I care about the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
Again, LES admits talking to them. It was more than a casual coversation as it included both the AD and the PRES!

I think Michigan has an obligation to confirm Les's comments- they created this crap by allowing Carr to be part of the frenzy!

Specs, why are you acting like a jilted lover? You don't think the man cares about the MNC? You don't think the man can take a few minutes out of his day, with nearly a month to go until the game, and speak to his alma mater about ideas for their coaching search?
As someone else already said, Miles has made his statement(s). You can choose to believe him or not (obviously you don't).
