Is there a necessity for the PGC to be an on field position?

Can Calloway move up to an on field QB coach in that scenario?

I have no real insight as to who would be better as an on the field option, I just thought this would be a little different way to approach thinking about staff alignment.

I don’t think he would have taken the position if that was the plan.

Let’s make the OC an analyst while we’re at it

Callaway deserves to get everything and we have to make sure Raymond doesn't have to work with a safeties coach!!

This isn’t the rant, and posted here for an intelligent discussion. Do you have an insightful answer to the question? Why does the PCG need to be an on field position when we already have an OC fulfilling that? What else does he bring to the table to require him to be on the field?

Clearly. The lack of thoughtful contributions have solidified that sentiment.

The PGC role was the one that Joe Brady filled. That should tell you all you need to know as to why it is an on field role

Well, if Joe Brady was the official OC, would there still have been a need for a PCG role?

I'm not in here agreeing with the OP, but what you said is relevant only because we had an OC who wasn't as capable as our PCG.

If I knew, or anyone else on this board could answer, then I wouldn’t be asking. That’s the purpose of a question. I didn’t make a statement or give an opinion, I asked a question. Which, apparently, nobody has the answer to.

Well let’s think about it since this year’s hires could possibly costt O his job next year he thinks Mangus is more qualified than Callaway, let it fricking go

im sure O and Woodard think high of your opinion and are waiting by the phone for you to approve hires.

Since you feel we have to make sure that everybody that you have listed was taking care of, I guess you could form a protest or maybe sit ins to express your disapproval

If our new OC wants Mangas in an on-field role as PGC, then it’s his call to make. I like Callaway’s resume and people around the program say positive things about him, but the Peetz should get to choose at least one person on his offensive staff. The rest is just details to work out. The mental gymnastics trying to work out the rest of the staff are a waste of time.

Good idea. But for him to be the analyst he would also have to be the head OC and waiting. Like Muschhamp was at UT with Mack Brown.

You're right about one thing....Mangas will probably cost O his job! But whatever....Mangas only sticks around for a year or gets fired.
Callaway will probably end up leaving anyway since they didn’t promote him after all his hard work. I certainly would not blame him at all.
