Calm down! Corey Raymond move is definitely a sign of a confident established head coach

Sad to see him go, but in the bigger picture every year Corey was holding us hostage for a pay raise. On the back part of Miles LSU coaching career and O’s coaching career. All the pay raises year after year was going to eventually catch up with him. Kelly is confident enough he can bring in a coach just as good or better that actually wants to be at LSU, and not try to leverage for a raise year after year thinking he’s bigger than the Players that made DBU

How come nobody was offering Corey Raymond a chance to be a defensive coordinator?

Did Saban ever make a run at him?

Have any NFL teams come to talk to him about moving up to defensive coordinator?

There are metrics you can use to find out somebody's real worth in the marketplace and not just our little daisy chain where all of our coaches are the best ever right up until our program goes to shite.

Every single coach responsible for driving LSU down to the point where we have to throw a miracle touchdown pass just to get a breakeven season ought to be considered suspect.

Raymond is a great recruiter in Louisiana where DB’s are plentiful and we’re the only show in town. His actual coaching left a lot to be desired. Let’s see how well he does going to UF where everyone is trying to recruit DB’s. I’m quietly optimistic this will work out in our favor.

I think the bigger issue is not that Raymond left, but that he went to Florida. Would almost be non-issue with me if he went to a different conference.

I like him as a recruiter but thought he was average as a coach. Hate to lose him, especially to Florida, but he's replaceable.

I hope Kelly isn’t being overly confident to the point that he thinks he can run a Notre Dame type team in the SEC.
