Buyouts—We’ve only focused on 1 side, but there is another that’s been overlooked

We all know we’re having to pay O’s buyout of $16 or $17 million, whatever. And the buyouts of the assistants, almost all of which will be terminated as well. Then we’ve got to hire and pay a new coach and their staff. We all know this. But what I haven’t seen talked about is the buyouts for the new coach to his current employer.
No idea if it’s true, but I heard on a podcast or something last night that Mel Tucker’s buyout was like $17 million to leave MSU. Now, I know that’s a unique situation as he had just bolted from Colorado after just 1season. Tucker wouldn’t be in my top 10, but it just made me think of the other side of the buyout that we’re not really considering, but maybe Scott kinda has to.
Anybody know the buyouts to the schools for some of the top names being tossed around? Hopefully Tucker’s is the only one that high, but there’s got to be a limit on what the TAF guys are willing to throw at chasing to fix these bad hires. Not saying it will or should dictate us getting a lesser coach by any means, but all things being equal, could it be the deciding factor between 2 alike finalists?
Really what I’m saying is I REALLY don’t want Jimbo fricking Fisher.

Michigan State signed Tucker to a six-year contract with a $5.5 million annual salary. The buyout for taking another job in college or the NFL was $6 million if he left by Jan. 15, 2021, but dropped to $2.5 million for leaving between Jan. 16, 2021 and Jan. 15, 2022. It declines by $500,000 in subsequent years.

Admittedly, I don't know a ton about how these buyouts work.
But I do remember when LSU was going to hire Pat Sullivan,
he expected LSU to pay his $400k buyout. LSU refused, and went with Dinardo.
When asked about his buyout with Vanderbilt, Dinardo said "Don't worry. That's my problem and I'll handle it." I believe he and Vanderbilt settled out of court.
Is it common for the new employer to pay the former employer's buyout?

Jimbo doesn't have a buy out.

Of course. But if Tucker’s is only $6 million like that previous poster said after the way he left Colorado, that makes me feel better that the other guys’ won’t be that much, certainly not enough to really be a factor. Proven successful coaches have leverage and likely don’t have substantial buyouts. It’s the guys like Riley, Kirby, or Day that hadn’t been HCs before and blue blood schools gambled on them by giving them a chance might have had bigger ones in their 1st deals, but after a few success years have probably negotiated that down.
