taggart will recruit well for a few years til everyone notices he can't win unless he way out-talents the competition.
please, please, please hire taggart at fsu.

What do you base that off of?? He rebuilt 2 programs and improved Oregon in year 1.
At USF he scrapped the pro style offense to the spread. The program took off. The man can coach

do your own research and you'll see what it's based off of.
all taggart has done is out recruit g5 teams. that's all he's ever done.
oregon may have won a few more games this year, but still got beaten badly by less talented teams. their still as far away from uw and stanford as they were last year.
helfrich dealt with more injuries and didn't have arguably the best dc in college football in levitt.
oregon still has the 4th or 5th most talented team in the pac12 and got run out the stadium on several occasions this year by equal or lesser talented teams. injured qb or not, no excuse for losing the way uo did this year.
taggarts not a scrub, but he has no business being called anything other than an elite recruiter. that works well in eugene where there's a premium on talent.
he's also gonna lose jim levitt in another year or two. levitt's the best coach on that staff, including taggart.

Taggart is set to bring in the best recruiting class in Oregon history. He improved Oregon's record in year 1 with his 1st and 2nd string qb's injured during the season

still got blown the eff out by equal and less talented teams. this will always be the case with taggart. this trend isn't something new with willie. good a guy as he is, he's still only elite as a recruiter. he's not gonna improve talent in tally, it's already topped out. he's in the right spot for him and he knows it. he'll actually be able to out-talent everyone but usc (and maybe them too) in the pac12, but he won't get that much separation in the south.
willie can't win w/o having superior talent. maybe once in a blue moon, but nothing consistent.

Taggart is by far my top pick and really the only one that wouldn't make me feel any type of way about Jimbo leaving if he does
