Not really an LSU fan???
Sure looks that way from checking his posts.

Haley is definitely one of his favorites though...

Really BAD hire. Weak resume and coaching background at bottom feeders. (Miss. State, c'mon gimme a break) We discussed this the other night. Not going to rehash it all.

You are so stupid. NFL DL coach has a weak resume to be a college DL coach?

11 years as a D line coach. nice research, bandgeek.

How did anyone ever hire Bill Bellichick to coach defenses since he only played center and tight end?

I've read that Chavis supposedly wasn't too crazy about working with Orgeron and neither were some of the offensive assistants and it's a notion that I don't think is too wild.

That is easy to believe, especially considering the battles they had with him on the recruiting trail. I'm sure they would have put on a brave face if he were hired, but it was risky as far as staff relations go.

Agree on the chemistry being better w/o O.

I thought that his production was good, except the NFL. Some are just better suited to coach young players.

There were two things that jumped out for me. HOF at his alma mater and he received an "Inspiration Award". Looking forward to seeing our talent INSPIRED.

Brick will hopefully be assigned Mississippi to recruit. We need to put A LOT more emphasis on Mississippi and get more of their 4 and 5 star guys.

If we can get some folk like Al Wilson, Little and Knock Thompson, it would be nice

After Lafell leaves, I think his #1 jersey should go to Defense. For some reason I just think it is bad arse when a player in a #1 jersey is laying people out.

From everything I hear out of Ole Piss O was a low ethics guy and I don't think that would have been good for us. Also, if we had to give him arse head coach title that would have assured tension between him and Chavis.

I've hated O since '05 and his acting like a clown in TS. SOOO glad we didn't hire that assclown.

Agree. I think the major disappointment in the D this year caused some to get desperate. His major contribution would have been in recruiting, and last time I checked, Les has that covered. Good recruits with a bad staff chemistry =

The acumen of these new defensive coaches should recruit itself.

Sounds like a GREAT hire. Seems next year's coaching staff is going to have the intensity we so lacked this past season.
Any work why Haley chose to leave the NFL, or was he invited to seek other jobs?
Miles did a MASTERFUL job at turning over his staff with the upmost class, making LSU even more appealing!

Spoken like a guy who was in the band rather than on the playing field his entire life.
