I'm being serious when I say this but I don't think Alleva had any intentions of hiring someone else. They were just going to hire O if he'd beaten Florida, this has been documented and reported. It was his job all along. I don't understand why, but that was the plan.

Alleva was insulted by how the sports agents dealt with him. Its his elitist attitude. Same attitude that caused him to cave on Duke Lacrosse before there was any evidence

Maybe it IS a money issue. With the State of Louisiana in the fiscal shape it's in, giving someone north of 6.5 million wouldnt be a good look, even if a lot of the money was coming from boosters

It doesn't matter how Alleva feels, if Jimbo wanted to be at LSU he would be here. It's obvious he doesn't. Skip Bertman, Theo Epstein, even Baby Jesus couldnt change that
