Every time a head coaching job opens up, people always list Chris Peterson from Boise State.
Yes he has done a great job and you cant fault him for winning, but he didn't build Boise State.

Since Boise State went to Div. 1A, their head coaches-

Houston Nutt- took over a 2-10 Div. 1AA team, moved them to Div. 1A and won 5 games, in one year. The next year he was hired at Arkansas and now coaches Ole Miss. (First coach to beat Les Miles in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday)

Dirk Koetter- 3 years at Boise State won 2 bowl games, had 2 ten win seasons. Went on to be come the headcoach at AZ State for 6 years. (Gave Les Miles his 1st win as an LSU HC) Now OC for the Jax Jaguars.

Dan Hawkins- won over 50 games in 5 years at Boise St. Hawkins, went 8-0 for 3 consecutive seasons in the WAC, including 12-1,13-1,11-1 seasons. Hawkins is in this 3rd year as the head coach @ Colorado.

Really now and when did this Houston Nutt Victory happen exactly??

Sorry but your wrong. Les Miles only loss at Tiger Stadium in 2005 was on a Monday Night to Tenn. In 2006 LSU was 8-0 at home with their only losses coming on the road to Florida and Tenn. Last year LSU lost on the Road to Kentucky and at home on a FRIDAY to Arkansas. This year LSU has lost to Florida on the Road Georgia and Alabama at home. So actually Mark Richt is the first coach to defeat Les Miles at Tiger Stadium on a Saturday.
